Editorial standards
Verendia is an independent educational guide to getting health and wellness treatments online. We are not a doctor’s office, a pharmacy, or a telehealth company, and nothing here is medical advice. Our job is to explain the options in plain English, honestly, and to point you to licensed professionals who can help.
Our promise: we don’t publish a claim we can’t source
Everything factual on this site is traced to a primary or authoritative source — and we cite it, so you can check our work rather than take our word for it. When we tell you what something is, what the FDA says about it, or what the research shows, there’s a link to the original: a peer-reviewed study, an FDA document, a government agency, or a professional medical association.
How our articles are made
We want to be straight with you about our process, because trust matters more here than anywhere:
- We research from authoritative sources first — regulatory filings, peer-reviewed research, and official guidance — not other blogs.
- Every article is drafted with the help of AI, then fact-checked against its cited sources and reviewed and approved by a person before it’s published. We use AI to write clearly — never to invent facts. Every claim traces to a real source you can check.
- A named team is responsible for every page. Content is reviewed and approved before publishing, and each article shows a “last verified” date.
- When expertise matters, we quote the experts by name — a physician’s or researcher’s published statement, attributed and linked — rather than pretending to be clinicians ourselves.
Sources we use — and sources we don’t
We rely on: peer-reviewed medical journals; the U.S. Food & Drug Administration and other government agencies; the Federal Register and official regulatory notices; and statements from accredited professional medical associations.
We exclude: manufacturer promotional material, anonymous or unsourced blogs, social-media claims, and anything we can’t independently verify. If the evidence is thin or contested, we say so plainly instead of picking a side.
What we don’t do
- We don’t give medical advice, diagnose, or tell you what to take or what dose. Those are decisions for a licensed provider who knows your history. We route those questions to the professionals.
- We don’t make promises about results. We explain how things work and what’s known — not what will happen to you.
- We don’t take payment to cover a product favorably (see How we’re funded, below).
Accuracy and corrections
Health information changes, and we’d rather be corrected than wrong. If you spot an error, email [email protected] and we’ll review it. When we update a page, we refresh its “last verified” date.
How we’re funded
Verendia is free to read. We earn a commission when readers use some of the links on this site to reach the telehealth services we describe. That’s how we keep the lights on — and it does not change which topics we cover, the sources we cite, or what we say about them. This affiliate disclosure appears on every page that contains such a link. See our full Affiliate Disclosure for details.
